At AVA Corporate Communications, I redesigned the digital annual report experience for both listed and unlisted companies. Some of the one-pagers were cluttered and did not cater to the diverse needs of users accessing financial information.
My research included interviews with potential report viewers and a survey focusing on navigation challenges and information clarity. This revealed a need for a modern, user-friendly presentation that differentiated between listed and unlisted company reports.
I began by conducting competitive research on digital annual reports and surveyed over 80 potential users to understand their preferences and needs. Additionally, I interviewed more than 20 users within the target audience and conducted user tests on some of them.
Through these interviews and user testing, I identified key pain points, including difficulty finding key figures, confusing navigation, and outdated design styles.
I created user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to explore solutions focused on clarity, intuitive interaction, and visual appeal.
The final deliverables included a reimagined information architecture for annual reports, modern UI elements, and a refined brand identity for the company's web presence.
I followed the double diamond method for this design project.
Discover:
I conducted over 20 interviews with the target audience, ran a survey with more than 80 responses, and analyzed user reviews. This led to defining the core problem statement: "Users struggle to find relevant features, resulting in frustration and low task completion rates."
Develop:
I iterated through wireframes and clickable prototypes, prioritizing solutions that improved navigation and feature visibility. The project culminated in a redesigned UI featuring intuitive way finding and a clear visual hierarchy, which aims to improve user satisfaction and task success rates.
Prototype:
My prototyping process is iterative and user-centered. I started with low-fidelity paper sketches for rapid ideation. Then, I progressed to digital wireframing in Figma to refine layout and basic interactions. I also created high-fidelity clickable prototypes to conduct A/B testing on key features, gathering user feedback to inform final design decisions.

Understanding Scope:
I began by analyzing the project's requirements and goals to determine the sitemap's level of detail.
Content Inventory:
I gathered information on existing pages, features, and planned additions to establish the sitemap's breadth.
Organizing Information:
Using tools like FigJam, I created hierarchical sitemaps to visualize the site's structure.
I presented my design to the investor relations team, and their enthusiastic response to the transformation was incredibly rewarding. The user-driven approach successfully bridged the gap between the company and its investors, delivering a visually compelling and highly functional platform.
This project represents a defining moment in my design career, showcasing the power of meticulous research, user-centric principles, and the impactful blend of aesthetics and functionality. It established a new benchmark for investor relations websites, emphasizing transparent communication and successful collaboration.
